The declaration fee and the supplemental fee shall become due when the entry is made and shall be payable one hour prior to the start of the race.
 

CONDITIONS:

1. Declarations close at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 13, 2007
2. Nomination fee must accompany all nominations. All nomination fees will be added to the purse.
3. All sustaining payments will be added to the purse.
4. If more than ten (10 ) horses declare to start, the event will be raced in eliminations. Each elimination will race for $50,000.
a) If two (2) eliminations: the first four (4) finishers in each division will qualify for the final. The two (2) official fifth-place finishers will draw by lot for the ninth and final starting position. The other fifth-place finisher shall become the also-eligible.
b) If three (3) eliminations: the first three (3) finishers in each division will qualify for the final. the three (3) official fourth-place finishers will be the also-eligibles, with the order to be determined by lot.
c) If four (4) eliminations: the top two finishers will qualify for the final. The four (4) official third place finishers will draw by lot for the ninth (9th) and final starting positions. The remainder of the third place finishers will draw by lot for also eligible positions.
d) Purse distributing will be 50%, 25%, 12%, 8%, and 5%.
e) If more than nine (9) qualify due to dead heats, horses tied for the last qualifying position or positions will be drawn by lot to maximum of nine (9) horses. Regardless of the number of eliminations, nine horses will advance to the final.
f) There will be an open draw by lot to determine post positions in the final for the eligible finalists.
g) A retention barn may be in effect. See race office at time of entry for details.
5. Flamboro Downs Holdings Limited reserves the right to require six (6) separate wagering interests, or the event may be called off and all monies paid in by nominations and sustaining payments shall be divided equally among those declaring to start.
6. Flamboro Downs Holdings Limited reserves the right to reject any entry and return the fees, declaring the event off if conditions warrant, call off the event not filling satisfactorily and place entries in the eligible classes if not entered correctly.
7. In the event that Flamboro Downs Holdings Limited cancels or delays the racing of a program or programs due to a labour dispute, inclement weather or any other event leading to a temporary disruption in the racing schedule, nominees and/or trainers will be notified regarding the rescheduling.
8. All horses shipped to Flamboro Downs Holdings Limited require current Coggins Tests.
9. This event is conducted under the rules and regulations of the Ontario Racing Commission and Flamboro Downs Holdings Limited.

Sustaining Payment Deadlines

Deadline February 15, 2008 - $300 Canadian
To race as 3-year-olds in 2008 (Foals of 2005)

Deadline March 15, 2008 - $300 Canadian
To race as 2-year-olds in 2008 (Foals of 2006)

Nominations for Foals of 2007

Deadline May 15, 2008 - $25 Canadian
To race as 2-year-olds in 2009 and 3-year-olds in 2010

Conditions

Eligibility: There are no ownership or other restrictions on either colts or fillies. Two-year-old sustaining payments need not be made to be eligible to race as three-year-olds. Colts (geldings) and fillies race in separate events.

Declaration: The gait on which a horse intends to race must be declared when the sustaining payment is made for that year. Flamboro Downs must be advised of any horse changing its gait prior to making a declaration to start. Owners are required to declare in at Flamboro Downs prior to the time appointed for the close of entries for the date on which the event will be raced.

Racing Conditions:
1.
 These events will be conducted in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Ontario Racing Commission.

2. In the event more horses are declared to start than can be accommodated in one division in accordance with ORC Rule 16, Section 30, the event will be raced in divisions. The purse, with the exception of starting payments will be divided equally among the divisions. Starting payments will be divided in proportion to the number of declared starters that are drawn to each division.

3. Entries shall be seeded in separate divisions insofar as possible.

4. Each division shall race one dash at a distance of one mile.

5. The purse for each division will be divided on the basis of 50, 25, 12, 8, 5% to the first five finishers as declared officially by the Judges. In the event only five horses start the purse will be divided 50, 25, 12,8 and 5%. If only four start the purse will be divided 50, 25, 15 and 10%. If only three start the purse will be divided 55, 30 and 15%. If only two start the purse will be divided 65 and 35%.

6. In the event a race goes in divisions the divisional winner going the fastest mile will be declared the winner.

The total amount of payments received, plus the amount received from the Association conducting the races and any contributions from sponsors, which are specifically allocated to purses, shall comprise the purses.
