We believe that actions speak
louder than words, which is why we always look for tangible opportunities
to become involved with our community partners and organizations. By
getting out there in our community to volunteer, help out, and give back
our time, we strive to create a positive impact and produce visible
results that ultimately help local organizations make our communities
stronger for everyone to enjoy.
A new PROUD Wall of Honour at Flamboro Downs
to represent all of the hard work and time dedicated to community outreach and support, the Flamboro Downs team created a PROUD Wall of Honour in fall 2015 that displays their PROUD awards, recipients and events as they occur. The PROUD Wall is located in an area where both staff and guests are able to admire and appreciate it.
Flamboro Downs’ Food Drives throughout the year support The Good Shepherd Food Bank
Flamboro Downs team members contribute to a minimum of three food drives per year in addition to donating cash and group volunteering, all in support of The Good Shepherd Food Bank, their charity of choice. Their latest food drive was during Confederation Cup Day on May 15, 2016, where 465 lbs of food was collected.
